The ultimate purpose of the Children’s ministry is
to glorify God.
We recognize and believe the role and
responsibilities of discipleship belong to the parents. God has given
the primary role of a child’s spiritual formation to the parents (Deuteronomy
6:6-7). Our purpose is to equip the
children and parents, not replace the parents’ role in teaching and training
God has ordained the church to support, equip and resource families (Ephesians 4:12).
Providence Bible Fellowship believes that God gave children the ability to learn His Word and Doctrinal Truth. We want to encourage parents to have significant involvement at Providence Bible Fellowship. Children participate in the adult worship service with their families. Then, after the last hymn, they go to their age appropriate class.
Providence Bible Fellowship is committed to
developing leaders who have an eternal impact on the lives of the children they
serve each week. Providence Bible
Fellowship also recognizes the need to safe guard our children and teachers.
Our utmost importance is to create a safe, secure environment for our children and
youth. Our policy and guidelines are in place to safeguard the children and
teachers. Our children’s protection
policy does not represent a lack of trust and confidence in the many members of
our congregation who work with children’ just the opposite is true. When we all participate together in carrying
our policy and following these guidelines, we are protecting our children.
