At Providence Bible Fellowship, we uphold 2 Timothy 3:16 – 17, recognizing not only that God’s Word is inspired and inerrant, but just as important, that God’s Word is sufficient to deal with all issues of the heart, “that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” (2 Peter 1:3 – 4).
Biblical Counseling Objectives:
To enlarge and reinforce the confidence of God’s people in the sufficiency, superiority, and practicality of Scripture for dealing with all of the issues of life.
To encourage Christians to think biblically and to understand their problems through the lens of Scripture.
To provide biblical guidelines to effectively counsel people who are struggling with problems.
To demonstrate how our counseling methods must be consistent with our theological convictions.
To give Christians specific biblical principles for discerning the difference between counseling that purports to be biblical and counseling that actually is.
